Back 2 the school hallways. Ger and I had just walked in, and I was tossing away sum trash in its proper receptacle while saying, "It's not like I won't do the Halloween gig, Gerald.... I just wanted U 2 know that I'm not in2 this stuff like U R. I mean, U're an awesum drummer--and U've probably got a chance... Especially since U've been on stage with Rebecca[h]. But.... even tho I luv music, --It's not gonna B my whole life!" And here's what Ger sed: "So... it's over. I knew it was gonna end." I was like, "We can still B a band!" And Ger sed, "....But we won't B a couple."
Ouch. So mayB we're breaking up. Again. And I know we R in2 sum weird either/or thinking rite here. All or nuthin'. That kinda thing. That's Mboro. And R.P. Boire Senior Secondary.

april, wow! did u & gerald rilly break up? thass so weird. wen i wuz in the mirror world w/lirpa, she just got back 2gethah w/dlareg (her version of gerald), cuz they found out they cud still find tyme 2 d8 & do skool work, evn if their band wuz playin’ lotsa gigz. that wuz good 4 lirpa & dlareg, but not so good 4 me, cuz i wuz kinda like her bf while she wuz broke up w/dlareg. in the mirror world lirpa rilly liked me, evn tho here in the real world, u kinda feel the opposite way.

Formerly little sis. What are you doing? You are supposed to crush the musical ambition out of your future spouse, not encourage it. How is he going to settle down in Milborough and be your babies’ father, if you are telling him he has a chance of making it as a musician? It is not supposed to be “We can still be a band, but we won’t be a couple.” It is supposed to be “We can’t be a band, but we can still be a couple.” Put the negative meanings on the right phrases. What a mess you have made. I thought you knew what you were doing! We don’t need to have another Lizardbreath on our hands. Even she had the good sense to stay dating her boyfriend to the end of senior secondary.
Mom said everything is all right as long as you are willing to flirt outrageously with Gerald whenever you see him with another girl, and also when you come home from university, and then when you come back to Milborough to set up your veterinary practice. So, there is an out for you, formerly little sis. Be sure to take it, if you don’t manage to repair the mess you have made of things now.

Gerald’s words are confusing to me. Does he think you can only have a relationship if you both are dedicated to a career in music? In the world of professional pop music, most of the pop star musicians are not married to people in that industry. In fact, as I recollect, most of them are married to super models, or maybe just plain models. Perhaps this is Gerald’s way of saying he knows you don’t plan to become a professional model. Not that you couldn’t, if you changed your makeup, hair, clothes, and dropped weight until your ribs showed. But it hardly seems worth the effort for Gerald.
I know you might be grieving over the loss of the relationship, but it’s hard to tell. I thought your family members usually went into screaming fits when a relationship ended, or is that just your sister? Anyway, my wife Beatrice says she knows some nice Argentinian-Canadian boys about your age, if you are interested in a blind date. Or, if you are in mourning, you can come over and I will make you some nonfattening desserts I know which are great comfort foods.

jeremy, i think i was prolly the only 1 who was defending u when every1 was saying u were a villain who got crushed while trying 2 attack honoria and that bronson guy. i'm like the only 1 who got that u were being heroic. u'll c if u go back and review entries and comments on here from rite after u left us.
howard, thanx 4 the snax and sympathy this evening. it was gd 2 talk w/u and beatrice, and the girls just always make me smile, they're so sweet. so, like i was telling u, i think ger's thing is he thinx his sole mate hasta b xxactly as in2 music as he is, and in the same xxact way.
mike, don't b so shocked. i don't hafta marry ger and i don't hafta live in mboro.
