Haven't Heard
Last night right B4 bed, I got a short message from Liz saying she doesn't expect 2 have more trub from Howard since he knows our dad saw him watching in the car. I hope she's right, but I have a bad feeling. If NE peeps back home can check in w/Liz & let me know what's going on, I'd be so gr8ful!
I didn't do very well playing bridge last night, cuz I cdn't stop thinking about Liz. Uncle Danny said if I get 2 B gd @ playing cards, I can earn some $ that way. Then Aunt Bev smacked his hand lightly & said he shdn't encourage me 2 gamble. This morning when I went out to feed the animals, I thought I saw a cute boy passing by. But maybe that was a mirage, like when U R on a desert & your thirst makes U think U see an oasis.

I know I am being critized for the way I've handled the Howard situation. One part of me wanted to go run for help because this guy is bothering me. The other part of me says, that I am making a big deal out of nothing. I am an adult now, I should be able to handle these things on my own and not have to run to Daddy or someone else to take care of my difficulties. Candace says that I am making the top ten mistakes someone who is being stalked makes. But the voice in my head that says, "ignore this and it will go away." is winning out. I am so terrified.
It's hard for me to tell you much April except that I was cornered by Howard today. I don't want to talk much else about what happened. Maybe I'll tell you about it tomorrow.

OK, I must step out of character here to discuss "Liz's" link. There is some misleading information in there.
#6: "Don't get a restraining order. If you do, your stalker will hurt/kill you." First, getting a restraining order often enables the police to do more things to stop the stalker. It is documentation of the stalker's activities that will be useful in a prosecution.
Furthermore, there are only two types of stalkers who are likely to escalate in the face of a restraining order: those with a long-term relationship with the victim, or delusional stalkers who believe the stalker is in love with them (eratomaniacs).
There is also no guarantee that not getting a restraining order will save you from violence. The stalker may eventually become angry at you for another reason and kill you or injure you anyway.
The majority of people who get a restraining order in a Howard-style situation are not subject to retaliatory violence.
#7: "The police won't help you." False. Patently false. There are anti-stalking laws in all 50 states, and there is a federal interstate anti-stalking statute. Stalkers can spend up to a year in prison for doing two things: repeated harassment and making a credible threat against the victim.
The LAPD is probably not a good example of a police department to ask about stalking law enforcement. LA has a much larger crime problem than the vast majority of cities. The LAPD also has notorious internal troubles.

shannon haz good advice. damn girl, y r u stuck in special ed? u sound pretty smart 2 me. i used 2 think u were a foob, but you're actually pretty cube.
my mom sez that after u grab the package, u should try to tear it off so he can't use it against other girls any more. then when he is really hurting, u jam ur finger in his eye an' try 2 pop it like a grape.
